Canvas and Cocktails
So there is this fun group that I recently learned about. It’s called Canvas and Cocktails. A group of people (artistic or not) get together to paint, drink, and socialize with the help of a local artist. It was a blast. The lady that does it here, Emily is super sweet. She puts on at least 2 a month. She is also does lots of other things. Some even unmentionable. http://www.emily-art.com/For this class we painted our take on the Kintai Bridge that is located here in Iwakuni.
I had so much fun I’m going again next week!

New Camera
Peter got me a new camera while he was in Okinawa. I’m loving having a camera again. Post should come more frequently. On another note, I feel like I need to take a picture of Cora everyday because she changes so much.

Saying Goodbye
This is Connor, or Con Con if you’re Cora. Him and his family are going back to the states this weekend. This has been Cora’s best friend for the past year and a half and it will be sad to see him go. You are a sweet angel. Hopefully we meet again one day! I’d be interested to see the person you will grow up to be! We love you Con Con.

Soba
Like ramen, but thicker noodles, not as much flavor, and served with tempura.
The tempura (fried food) was delicious but overall I prefer ramen. At least now I know the difference!

Italian Food
Curry and Italian are favorites of the Japanese. These type of restaurants are everywhere! We found this place in the AlPark Mall in Hiroshima. It was decent Italian food and super cheap. I got soup, salad, drink bar, and shrimp risotto all for 660yen. That is really good! Bri got a spinach, chicken pasta and rolls and Olivia got pizza (pictured below).
We found these sweet hats in a store. And nooo…not a costume store.
